The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) again handed over an Energy Saving Solar Lamp (LTSHE) package to three regencies / cities in the Papua Province, Tuesday (12/3).
The surrender of this lamp is in order to provide access to energy for all the people of Indonesia, especially for people in the foremost, outermost, and disadvantaged areas (3T) who have not enjoyed electricity.
Since getting to know LTSHE, the people of Nduga, Mappi, and Intan Jaya, Papua Province can now enjoy the light at night. The IDN Times had the opportunity to take part in the journey of the ESDM Ministry’s Director General (Electricity) of Electricity Rida Mulyana in the delivery of the LTSHE in Mappi District, Papua Province.
1. Using a small plane to Mappi Regency
IDN Times along with the Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rida Mulyana, and his staff had to take a long time to reach Mappi Regency, Papua Province.
We first started departing from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang on Monday (11/3) at around 22:15 a.m. and transit at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar on Tuesday (12/3) at around 02.00 WITA.
Next, we continued our journey again and arrived at Mopah Merauke Airport, Papua at around 05.51 WIT.
To get to Mappi Regency, we have to continue the flight by using a small Cessna plane from Merauke Airport which takes about 1 hour.
2. Welcome dance upon arrival at Mappi
Arriving at Mappi Regency Airport, Rida and his staff were welcomed by the local government.
The arrival of the group was also welcomed with a welcome dance typical of Papua, and was given an award in the form of a symbolic symbol of West Papua.
3. Greeted by the Regent of Mappi Regency
Rida’s arrival was welcomed by the Regent of Mappi District, Kristosimus Agawemu. He also gave a number of statements regarding the efforts of the Indonesian government, through the Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, which helped the West Papuan people in the 3 T area by delivering the LTSHE.
From Mappi Regency Airport, we then moved towards the Mappi Regent Office Hall to run the LTSHE submission event. At that place, Rida had the opportunity to give a speech and address the issue of the LTSHE program launched by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
4. The Christosimus appreciation of government programs provides LTSHE
In his remarks, Kristosimus expressed his appreciation for the steps of the Indonesian government that has paid attention to the West Papuan people who are still far from the reach of PLN, by providing assistance in the form of LTSHE.
The event ended with the symbolic surrender of the LTSHE to representatives of the West Papuan community in Mappi, Nduga and Intan Jaya Regencies.
