The Papua Provincial Government claims to get appreciation from the Corruption Eradication Commission related to the action plan of the National Movement to Save Natural Resources (GNPSDA) when invited by the KPK along with four other provinces to join a coordination meeting or “kick off meeting”.
Papua Provincial Secretary Hery Dosinaen in Jayapura said on Monday the meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairperson of KPK Laode Muhammad Syarif, in which Riau was also attended by Riau, West Sulawesi, East and Central Kalimantan.
“In the meeting, the Corruption Eradication Commission appreciated the action plan of a map of natural resource management which includes forestry, mining, fisheries and marine environment carried out by the Papua Province,” he said.
According to Hery, in the direction of the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Laode Muhammad Syarif expressed his high appreciation to the Papua Province which had been doing a good action plan.
“Many things have been done by the Papua Provincial Government, especially in upholding rights and potential, including how the governor did not provide recommendations on requests from Freeport and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) about the provision of 1000 hectares of additional mining land,” he said.
He explained many other things that have been done such as how to maintain all the potential that so far none of the leaders dared to uphold the environment, therefore, the KPK gave full support to the Papua Provincial Government in managing natural resource potential.
“Where the progress of the very populist and frontal action plan aims to safeguard Papua’s natural resource potential,” he said again.
He added that his party did not intend to reduce previous policies, but in the current era of leadership, all parties must advance to safeguard the potential of each region.
